This guy is back on T.V at the moment. I used to love his show when I was a kid I sent many drawings in to him which he showed lots of times. This really made me continue with my art so in some ways I have a lot to thank him for. He still has not changed after all these years, unfortunately everybody else has grown up and seem to find him quite a pain! Anyhow this ones for him:)

Live Conference painting

Just Finished a 2 day event painting live on a huge Canvas at a conference to do with HIV.

I worked along side another artist Chris Ryder it was lots of fun although it was very difficult to get it finished in such a short space of time.

Huge Painting Commision

This is a huge painting done using the cover artwork of Jeff Becks Guitar shop album. I changed and added things to make up the things that where important to the man. He owns a bass Guitar shop which is the main feature.

This is a recent caricature done for a wedding which I also worked at on the day.

This is the first new caricature I have done in a while, going to watch him live for the second time so he seemed like the ideal person to draw, I like my original sketch so decided to finish it digitally.

Finishing half done Caricatures

I'm now determined to finish all the half done digital caricatures that are on my computer, good or bad. There are just to many and I really need to clear up the computer so this gives me a good chance to try and get a lot of work out in one go.

Stag Do T-Shirt Design

I was bestman at a wedding recently and decided to do a caricature for my mates stag T-shirts. I do many fo these but this one was great as I actually got to wear the T-shirt.

Back to Live Work

Back at last working live, I have not done any live work in a while because of the birth of my son. So its great to be back. This was a great job only one photo though and its not of any drawings sorry.

Back to the Gigs

Back to working live again, I have been leaving this work for the last few months what with everything that has gone on. Its great to be back I love working live and this was a brilliant day, unfortunately only one photograph no drawings just me:(

Caricature Shack and some newish Caricatures

So I have had a bit of a break lately and are just getting back into having lots of work again. I have finally split JPA Studios into a seperate caricature company called the Caricature Shack.

The website will be up and running soon http://www.caricatureshack.co.uk/. JPA Studios will now be just Fine Art and Architecture. While things are getting sorted out I thought I would start posting again so these are some that were hanging about.

I'm Back

I'm finally starting to get back to normal, after the birth of my son Finn Johannes McCarthy. Hopefully now I will start to do some work although I'm finding it quite difficult to stop being with him for any period of time.
